Bacteria should always be taken seriously since it can have grave consequences. These are the 10 places that contain harmful bacteria.

Wet towels, undraped toothbrushes, toys scattered on the floor are “perfect environments” for the growth of fungi and harmful bacteria. According to the latest studies, the toilet is the place with most germs in the home. However, being one of the most frequently cleaned, other points of the homes end up accumulating more microorganisms.

According to numerous studies, this is the ranking of these areas that are not given enough attention and could put at risk the health of the inhabitants of the house.

The Toilet

Considering its function, not many will be surprised that the toilet probably has the highest amount of harmful bacteria. However, recent studies show that there are even more places that hide germs and we are not even aware of it!

The Sink

The kitchen sink concentrates up to 100.000 times more bacteria than the regular bathroom sink. This is due to the fact that we leave our plates for a prolonged period and don’t wash them immediately. Even doing so, there are tiny food leftovers, which get stuck in the drain and remain for a long time. This is how the harmful bacteria multiply without us noticing.

In addition, experts in microbiology warn that bacteria need only ten seconds to colonize the object that falls to the ground.

It is not advisable to use the same table for cooked and raw foods.

Up to 20% of food infections are contracted at home. The pathogens that often cause them are salmonella, Escherichia coli, and Campylobacter. These can accumulate, as indicated above, in the refrigerator rubbers and wet cloths. To avoid this, it is convenient to disinfect them frequently.

If your job requires touching electronics all the time, it is advisable to use gel sanitizer for hands and to disinfect the equipment every day. This will prevent harmful bacteria from multiplying.

Kids usually play with toys on the floor. And the floor is where most of the harmful bacteria accumulate. This can be really harmful to the kids since they usually put their toys in their mouth. 80% of the cuddly toys harbor harmful bacteria, while one in four contaminated with feces. It is advisable that you clean the area where kids play, however, you should not use hard chemicals in the process.
